Question

I have a customer who brought his vehicle by my office. Gasoline was spilled inside his car and the odor is persistent... How do I get rid of the gasoline odor from the fabric upholstery and carpet that is black?

Answer

Over time and with adequate ventilation the odor will lessen. By the time you see this, that will probably have happened.
The problem is how to get the gas to evaporate from the cushioning material in the seats under the fabric. I can imagine a light spray and rinse extraction may leave a more pleasant odor and that is worth a try.
