Question

I am checking to see if we can use propane floor cleaning machines in our hospital. We would not use them by patient room because we are aware there would be some odor.

Answer

I would say no. I doubt that your safety and health officer would allow this type of equipment inside your facility. Issues include, dust, noise, exhaust and the propane fuel tank. However, there are many good battery powered units on the market with active vacuums that can be used in facilities where a propane unit may not be appropriate or allowed.
